Explanation of Massage Services
Deep Tissue – As the name implies, this approach goes deeper into the muscles, ligaments, and fascia to work out restrictions that lie further below the surface.
Orthopedic Massage – This approach addresses pain and restriction of movement resulting from an injury. First, the condition will be thoroughly assessed through a series of verbal and hands-on testing to determine if massage is the best approach. If so, we will pinpoint specific body structures that may be involved and develop a unique plan tailored to your specific needs
Sports Massage – A sports massage treatment focuses on the body structures involved in a specific sport or sports. It is perfect for the athlete who wants to train hard or increase their training program without injury or for one who is preparing for a specific event.
Craniosacral Therapy –
Craniosacral Therapy offers gentle but deep healing. By tuning into the body’s natural Craniosacral rhythm, this technique encourages the body to unwind patterned restrictions that are causing pain, discomfort, or general dis-ease. This approach is suitable for conditions including headaches, chronic neck and back pain, learning disabilities, stress, and tension related problems, nervous system disorders, TMJ, and many others.
Wendy Saydah, LMT, our Craniosacral Therapist, has a highly intuitive approach to bodywork which allows quick location of problem areas and a determination of the best combination of modalities to fit the situation. She believes that each person has an inner knowledge and ability to heal themselves and her role as therapist is to help her clients bring awareness to the areas of need and to aid them in the healing process.
Try our Craniosacral/Massage Combo. Available in 60 or 90 minute sessions, this approach is an excellent way to work out restrictions in the muscles and fascia while releasing unhealthy experiences and emotions that may be stored in the body. It is also a great way to restore your natural energy balance.
Relaxation – Here the focus is on stress reduction and relaxation while increasing circulation and the general release of tight muscles.
